Day Of Liberation
For Christian Women
If we are going to FULLY believe in the importance of the Day of Pentecost, then we have to believe it was intended to be a Liberation Day for Believing Women!
Let’s look at God’s Promise and the Intent-
Acts 2:16-18- “This is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: “‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.” NIV
According to Peter, this prophecy is to fulfill these Promises-
1) God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
2) Your sons and daughters will (BOTH) prophesy.
3) Even on my servants, BOTH men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.
4) They will BOTH prophesy.
Certainly, there are no gender restrictions in this prophecy because the promises are addressed to BOTH men and women. So, these things we know are true!
In our next post, we will show why “women keep silent and don’t teach men” is simply not in the Bible. Actually, the Word of God says just the opposite! -Mark Drake –markdrake.org
