GM KIDZ Children's Ministries

Our children’s ministry is not just about a curriculum it’s about a strategy. Our strategy is to partner with families to teach the Word of God to children and help mentor the next Generation to follow after the God who created them and who loves them and has a destiny for each of them to fulfill.

We value parents as the spiritual leaders in the home.

We believe that what happens in the home is more important than what happens in the church. Parents are responsible to help kids take the next step of faith. We are here to partner with families and to help resource parents as the spiritual leaders in the home.

We teach kids the Bible.

We teach with the end in mind. There are a few simple truths that we believe every child should know. Each week one truth is presented that is age-appropriate and relevant to your child.

We help to create real community with children.

Children are involved in a small group context with a group of their peers led by a godly caring leader. Our priority is to provide the best leaders to invest in our children.

We create space for young leaders to grow by serving.

Discipleship is not only about worship, prayer, and Bible study. It is also about serving, taking responsibility and mentoring the next generation. Leaders have an opportunity to serve our children, by leading a small group, teaching the Bible lesson or help with activities.

We encourage families to worship together.

Each week children are checked in for GM KIDZ Pre-School and GM KIDZ in the foyer before the service. Parents and children attend worship together as a family. After worship, children are invited down to the front to be prayed over and blessed by the Pastor and the congregation. They are then dismissed to their classes for the remainder of the service.

Nursery

Infant (Birth-23 months) Toddler (2-3 years old)

Loving and caring staff cares for infants and toddlers during church services. Nurseries are open 15 minutes before the service and remain opened until 15 minutes after. We request that if your child is sick that you please do not check them into the nursery so we may provide a safe and healthy environment for all children.

GM KIDZ

Pre-school to Kindergarten (3 years old - K)

Pre-schoolers are full of wonder. It’s a time for first experiences. We use materials that help these little ones to have a First Look at a God made them, a God who loves them and that Jesus wants to be their friend forever. Each week children are involved in fun activities, interactive Bible Story and worship songs. All built around one truth we want them to take home each week. Then they are involved in a small group where the leaders help them see how they can apply what they just learned to their life.

GM KIDZ

(1st-5th Grades )

We believe children need to know a few simple truths:

1. How to make wise choices.
2. That they can trust God no matter what.
3. They should treat others the way they want to be treated.

Each week children start with time in their small group with a caring leader. They have an opportunity to learn together with a small group of their peers. They also have a large group setting where they hear the Bible Story and memorize Scripture. Once again they go to their small group to make the connection learning how to apply what they have learned to their life.

Resources will be available each month to assist parents in the home.

We will be teaching a different virtue or character trait each month. Family Talk is a resource that will be made available so parents can teach and reinforce the lesson in the home. We believe that a combined effort is more effective than two separate efforts. We want to partner with families.

Volunteer Recruiting and Screening.

We exercise great care in recruiting all who serve in ministry. Everyone is evaluated for Character, Competence, Commitment and Chemistry. We believe this is critical to providing excellence. All of our leaders and workers (volunteer and paid staff) are carefully screened including a written application and a criminal background check, which is mandatory for everyone over the age of 18.
